frequently asked questions

How do I book an appointment?

You can be referred by your GP or Psychiatrist or you can self-refer directly by telephone on 0777 552 3164, by e-mail at or via the form on the contacts page.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies from person to person, depending on the problem that they are presenting with. The number of sessions will usually be at least 6 sessions, with a maximum of 20 sessions and an average of 12 sessions. Following your assessment session, we will estimate an approximate number of sessions that are likely to be needed.

What are your fees?

Assessment sessions and treatment sessions are £120 for each session. I am covered by Bupa, Axa-PPP and Aviva.

What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?

The consulting room needs to be booked and paid for in advance, therefore at least 24 hours notice is required if a session needs to be cancelled.

Cancellations with less than 24hrs notice will be charged at half the hourly rate. Appointments that are not attended, without any prior notice, will be charged at the full rate.

Are the sessions confidential?

What is discussed within sessions is confidential. At times, confidentiality may need to be breached, such as in situations where there are concerns that an individual may be at risk of harm to themselves or to others.

How can I pay for sessions?

All payments should be made within 24 hours of a session. Payment can be via cheque, cash or bank transfer.
